Before Moharram, the police administration in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh has become completely alert. In order to avoid any kind of communal tension or law and order situation, the police met with the Tajiyadars and representatives of the Muslim community and issued guidelines. During this time, especially minor children were given strict instructions not to involve the Tajiya procession by playing drums.
During the meeting, the police officials said that children often play drums without understanding and sometimes even accidentally play in front of such places, which are considered sensitive to other communities, which increases the possibility of dispute. The police made it clear that playing drums and drums in front of a place of worship or other community will be completely forbidden. Along with this, it was also forbidden to make such slogans or comments during the procession, which could hurt someone’s religious sentiments.
