In Bihar politics, BJP is still in the role of younger brother. In the 2020 elections, BJP and JDU contested equal seats, but BJP emerged as the largest party in NDA. Despite this, the BJP gave the chair of the state Chief Minister to Nitish Kumar. In this time assembly elections, BJP leaders hoped that like Maharashtra, the party can now come in the role of elder brother in Bihar. Just a few months ago, in the agenda program till date, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said that whether the BJP will contest elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar in Bihar or not, the party will decide later. A message from this was that perhaps the BJP brought a new plan for Nitish Kumar till the Bihar assembly elections. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing a public meeting during his visit to Bihar on Monday, has indicated the current Chief Minister of the state Nitish Kumar by calling the ‘Ladla Chief Minister’ that the BJP is going to remain in the role of younger brother in the assembly elections. But the question arises that even the victory in Maharashtra, Haryana and Delhi is not so confident that it is capable of forming a government by contesting elections alone in Bihar? But it is not just that much.
1- Compulsion to consider JDU as elder brother in Bihar
In the 2020 assembly elections, Janata Dal contested on United 115 seats. But he won only 43 assembly seats. While the BJP was successful in getting 74 seats by contesting 110 seats. According to this, BJP is the elder brother in the state. Still, BJP is not able to show the courage to follow Nitish Kumar.
The kind of success that the Bharatiya Janata Party is getting across the country, and the way the people had rejected JDU in the last elections in Bihar, it seemed that this time the BJP will be in the lead role in the state. But during the road show, Prime Minister Narendra Modi indicated to the constituents of the NDA including local leaders of BJP only by keeping Nitish Kumar on his car that the upcoming elections would be fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
Nitish Kumar was also seen to be confused due to the call of Ladla CM and being alone with the PM alone. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also praised Modi fiercely and said that the Prime Minister has worried about Bihar. Due to the Center, Bihar is moving forward on the path of development. After this, the situation was clearly cleared that BJP will contest elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar in Bihar. A few months ago, due to Amit Shah’s statement, it seemed that Nitish Kumar may be established at the center, or to be distinguished in any other constitutional post. The way Bihar BJP is demanding Bharat Ratna to Nitish Kumar, it also seemed that the party was preparing for his honor farewell. However, now all such speculation has been rebuilt.
2- Strengthening of RJD
A video of the meeting of BJP leaders on social media is going viral, in which it is being said that Lalu Yadav has to target instead of Tejashwi Yadav. Actually, RJD is in a very strong position in Bihar. Last time, RJD emerged as the largest party in the 2020 assembly elections. BJP got 74 seats, while RJD got 75 seats. The Grand Alliance was in the status that the NDA government should be dropped anytime. And once the Grand Alliance also dropped the NDA government. Today, the status of RJD is not such that BJP can be able to defeat it alone. Secondly, the BJP is also worried that if Nitish tries to cut off, then the RJD will also be ready to contest the election by making him a CM candidate. This kind of proposal from Lalu Yadav comes often. This is the reason that BJP is doing politics by keeping Nitish Kumar ahead in this time elections.
3-Nitish Kumar’s option not being prepared
In Bihar, Nitish Kumar’s stature could not be born in the Bharatiya Janata Party that could lead the party. Not only this, no party is seen in any party in Bihar who can replace Nitish Kumar. This is the reason that both RJD and BJP find themselves weak without Nitish Kumar in Bihar. Nitish Kumar is considered the leader of the most backward in Bihar. The BJP has made Nitish Kumar’s caste Emperor Chaudhary the deputy CM in the state, yet the most backward vote is with the BJP as long as Nitish Kumar is with the NDA. The great difficulty for the BJP is that casteism is at its peak in Bihar. Muslims and Yadavs support RJD and back on Nitish Kumar. After all, on whose strength the BJP filled the electoral ranges alone? This is the reason that the BJP never wants to leave Nitish Kumar to join the election battle.
4-Nitish is preparing to help forever
The Bharatiya Janata Party is planning to play a very long game by forwarding Nitish. All of them know that Nitish Kumar has formed the vote bank of the backward back in the state. RJD is not able to rise above MY (Muslim-Yadav) even after much effort. The BJP is also moving to bring the most backward with it. BJP knows that this final election of Nitish Kumar can be held in terms of age. In JDU, Nitish Kumar did not allow anyone else’s leadership to rise up. The BJP can put him in the parent board by giving him Bharat Ratna in future. In this way, the backward voters of Nitish Kumar can come completely with the BJP.
5-It is not right to make happy with praise of Modi
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised someone, his coronation is stuck. The then CM of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar was praised by the Prime Minister in a meeting. But a few days later, the post of Chief Minister of Haryana left his hand. After winning the Delhi Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the BJP headquarters and credited the Eastern for the victory. At that time this thing was decided, now the post of new Chief Minister is not going to be received by any Bhojpuri leader.
