Mohammad Siraj brought the fifth of the day and the sixth over of England’s innings. After scoring no run on two balls, Docket hit a four off the third ball. The fourth ball Siraj threw the length ball, on which no run was scored. But the fifth ball was pulled. This was a short ball. Docket wanted to bridge it on mid on, but could not middle. The ball went into the air, which Bumrah made no mistake in catching. Ben Docket continued to score 12 runs in 12 balls.
After this, it was shown in the replay that after being dismissed, Dockets moved towards Siraj, due to which both of them hit the shoulder. According to Article 2.12 of the ICC Code of Conduct, players are forbidden to have any kind of physical contact with each other. If match officials find Siraj or Docket guilty, then they can be fined for violation of Level 1 or 2.
Siraj can be fined 20 percent match fees
If Siraj is found guilty, the ICC can punish him and he can be fined heavy. DSP Siraj was earlier reprimanded for such behavior in the second Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on India’s tour of Australia. After the match, the ICC imposed a 20 percent fine of his match fees on Siraj and also gave a demerit point.
