Mohan Bhagwat has expressed concern over the current status of education and treatment in the country. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief says that both education and treatment have been out of reach of common people.
Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said at the inauguration of a cancer care center that everyone feels the need for education and healthcare, but both are beyond the economic capacity of the common man. Mohan Bhagwat has admitted that this is happening because both medical and education have been commercialized in the country.
It is fine that the Sangh chief has said this in a program which has happened at the inauguration of the care center related to the treatment of cancer, but it is a matter of understanding that such things are not done by the Sangh. Whatever is said by the Sangh chief, it has a special political meaning – people are very upset with the issue that Mohan Bhagwat has raised, but the solution to the problem is something?
Education and treatment should be in the reach of the common man
Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said that he had recently read a report, which states that India’s education system has now become a trillion-dollar business. And, said that when an area becomes such a big business, it automatically gets out of the reach of the common man.
Mohan Bhagwat says, health and education are two such subjects in today’s time, which have become a very big need in the society… If you want to get knowledge, then its means is the body… Healthy body can do everything… Unhealthy body cannot do anything… So health is also very important.
Expressing concern for the common people, Mohan Bhagwat said, “The man will sell his house for this, but will send his boys in good education … he will sell his house but will arrange his treatment and manage his treatment … Unfortunately both of them are out of reach of the normal person today … It is beyond his economic strength.”
It is difficult, Mohan Bhagwat says, advanced health services are available only in eight to ten Indian cities. It is said that where to go to get good treatment, you have to go to cities … For cancer, there are only eight to ten cities in India where you have to go, then the cost of medical expenses is different and the expenses of living there are different… and the expenses of movement are different.
And, then suggests, patients are forced to spend huge amount for treatment, and to cover long distances … Healthcare should not become a matter of concern. On the question of the medical system, Mohan Bhagwat says on the question of medical system, society needs such a medicine which is easy and accessible.
For whom is the message of the union?
Care is very valid, education and treatment have been done outside the reach of the common man. The first question is heard as soon as you reach the hospital, there will be insurance. Yes, the atmosphere becomes normal as soon as I hear the response, there is nothing to worry about. Treatment will be done. Such reports come, it seems that the price of treatment is being charged from the dead body after the death of the patient. Looking at what is the situation, it seems as if many nursing homes of the country are running with mediclaims and insurance.
The question is that the reason for both education and treatment being expensive is not to be facilities according to the need. And, even if there are facilities, everyone is not available. Government is also schools and government hospitals, but there is a long line. The result is that arrangements are not good. The expenses that can bear the expenses, they turn to private facilities. But, who does not have a house and land to mortgage or sell, where do they go?
To stop the fees of schools, a bill passed by the Delhi government is like a legal arrangement to stop the fees, but how practical it will be, it is difficult to say. Talking about treatment, schemes like Ayushman Bharat and there are some measures to help in expensive treatment, but it also has a limit. Everyone needs the need, but the facilities are available to everyone.
If you compare with many countries of the world, then treatment in India is cheaper in the match. According to an estimate, 30 to 70 percent is cheaper treatment. And, that too is expensive for foreigners, but what do the general public of the country get?
The big question is whether Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat has given any advice to the government, and if this is the case then the government is going to do anything – and if it is not all, then such anxiety does not mean much.
