One of the two people arrested for taking hostage in Indore, a probationary jail guard, was suspended. The accused also made a video of the attack on Sub-Inspector T Ekka on duty two days ago.
In these videos, the accused can be seen asking the uniformed SI and abusing and abusing and assaulting them. In the viral clip, the accused policemen are also seen sitting in their luxury car.
Officials said the incident took place when Ekka was investigating vehicles in Banganga police station area on Wednesday morning and they stopped the car of the accused who were roaming in a suspicious manner.
One of the two accused arrested in this case, Probationary Jail Guard Vikas Dabi (29) is posted in the sub-Jail in Jobat in Alirajpur district and came to his house in Indore on leave.
Superintendent of Barwani Central Jail Shefali Tiwari told a news agency that Dabi’s father was a constable in the jail department. After the death of the father, Dabi was given a government job of jail guard on compassionate grounds.
Dabi’s probation period is not yet completed. He went to Indore on a four -day holiday citing his father’s death anniversary.
Dabi has been suspended under Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1965 after arrest in case of misbehavior and assault from sub-inspector. The second arrested person has been identified as Ravi Rathore (25).
Another police officer said that two companions of Vikas Dabi wanted in the case are still absconding and they are being searched.
