According to IMD, the southwest monsoon has now covered the entire country. It reached Delhi on Sunday- which is its general date one day before 30 June. At the same time, the monsoon has spread to the remaining parts of India 9 days before its normal date of July 8. Talking to Aaj Tak, senior scientist Naresh Kumar of IMD said that almost the entire country is under the influence of monsoon clouds at this time, mainly due to a low pressure area built on the northwest part of the Bay of Bengal. A similar seasonal system built over Gujarat helped to pursue the monsoon in the northwest states including Rajasthan and NCR regions.
