The Meteorological Department (IMD) officially announced the activation of the southwest monsoon across the country- which is its general date 9 days before July 8. After the knock of monsoon across the country, where the farmers have got a lot of relief, there is a threat of floods in many states. Amid heavy rains from north to south and mountain to ground, pictures of flooding floods are coming everywhere. Roads in many major cities of the country are full of water, cloudburst and landslides have come to light in the mountains.

The destruction has started with the knock of monsoon in Himachal Pradesh. Pictures of sky disaster are constantly coming out from many districts of this hill state. The fear of ruin after a cloudburst in Kullu on June 25 was still fresh in the minds of the people that once again there is a fierce form of nature in Himachal. After overnight rains in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, services were postponed on the Shimla-Kalka railway line on the tracks on the tracks on Sunday, while traffic was interrupted for hours due to landslides on the national highway. The water level of Beas river has increased due to continuous rains in Mandi district.

In Himachal Pradesh, more than 30 people have lost their lives in different incidents related to rain, cloudburst and landslight. There is an appeal from the government and administration that people should stay away from rivers. Many routes have been closed after heavy rains in Kangra Valley. After landslides in many places, there are long queues of trains on the National Highway. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in 10 districts of Himachal Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, the process of heavy rains will continue in many places in Himachal till July 1. The Meteorological Department’s Hydromat Division has warned of medium to high -level flash floods in parts of Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan and Una districts in the next 24 hours. Heavy rains may cause surface waterlogging and floods in the low -lying areas.

If the clouds have caused havoc on the mountains, then the condition in the plains is bad. Where there were grounds in Jamshedpur, there are ponds. The areas of the area have become a river. The Bhairavi river is flowing with a fierce velocity near the famous Rajarappa Siddhapeeth (Chinnamastika Temple) in Ramgarh, Jharkhand. A young man lost his life in these strong waves. The water level of Ganga is also increasing rapidly in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Here also Ganga is showing the form of raudra. There was so much rain in Pali, Rajasthan that there was a flood in the city. A similar attack of water waves was also seen in Mayurbhanj, Odisha. There are flood -like conditions here due to the strong currents in the Budhbalanga river. The water level of the river is constantly increasing, due to which the concern of the people has increased.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in 10 districts of Bihar including Patna. Meanwhile, the Char Dham Yatra has been adjourned for the next 24 hours after the red alert of heavy rains in Uttarakhand. Garhwal Division Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey confirmed that pilgrims going to Badrinath and Kedarnath are being stopped in Srinagar or Rudraprayag, while pilgrims going to Yamunotri and Gangotri are being stopped in Vikasnagar and Barkot. IMD has issued a red alert for Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Champawat, Bageshwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar, which has been warned of extreme heavy rain.

Orange alert has also been declared in Uttarakhand for July 1 and 2, in which the Meteorological Department has warned that people living in sensitive or low -lying areas are at risk of waterlogging and landslides. In Uttarkashi, a cloudburst near the sewing band in Barkot caused a landslide at a hotel construction site on Saturday morning. According to District Magistrate Prashant Arya, nine laborers went missing after falling at the shelter site for the laborers under construction. The bodies of two of them have been recovered, while the search for 7 others is going on. Many parts of the Yamunotri and Gangotri highways have also been blocked due to landslides. The local administration of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand has appealed to the people to be vigilant and stay away from floods or landslide areas amidst the possibility of continuous rains in North India. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the entire North India in the next 24 hours.
