Among the elected prominent office bearers, outgoing president Virendra Kanwar was nominated as Chief Conservator. MLA Balbir Verma was elected senior vice -president, Rajesh Bhandari General Secretary and Amitabh Sharma was elected treasurer. Additionally, Ishwar Rohal, Usha Barowalia and Narendra Atri became vice -presidents, while Raj Kumar Nitu, Dr. Rahul Pathania and Ramesh Chauhan were elected Joint Secretaries.

Emphasis on increasing the number of qualified instructors
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Anurag Thakur underlined the major priorities of the association. He emphasized on strengthening sports infrastructure across the state and increasing the number of qualified instructors to train athletes in all Olympic Games.

Promotion to improve young talent
Anurag Thakur said at the end of the program that to promote the grassroots participation to enhance young talent and to create a self -sufficient model for the development and management of the Olympic Games in Himachal Pradesh. He also highlighted the unique capacity of Himachal Pradesh’s high-height and endurance sports, and emphasized on giving special priority to these games in the state sports development agenda.
