Three people were burnt alive due to electric wire in Balaghat. The accident occurred in Lanji police station area around 8.30 am on Tuesday. All three were members of the same family and were going to Durga temple in Devalgaon by bike.

The deceased have been identified as Sevkaram Pancha (30), his wife Renuka Pancha (28) and brother Bhojraj Pancha (28).
SDM Kamal Chandra Singhsara said- A tree of tree broke over the high-tension line. This broke the wire and came on the road. Meanwhile, the bike of the people going to the temple got entangled in it. The bike caught fire due to the operation of electricity. The three bike riders did not even get a chance to recover. He died on the spot.
Police, the staff of the power company and Lanji MLA Rajkumar Karrahe reached the spot as soon as the accident was reported. All three bodies were taken to Lanji for postmortem.
