At least 30 quintal of hemp worth Rs 6.2 crore was seized from a truck going to Delhi in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh and its driver was arrested. A police officer gave this information to a news agency. At present, the police is questioning the accused truck driver.
Superintendent of Police Sameer Saurabh said that the vehicle coming from Maharashtra was stopped late Thursday near Savitapur under the Civil Lines police station area of ​​Morena. Police had received information that a large consignment of cannabis in a truck from Nashik (Maharashtra) is secretly going to the national capital. The banned substance was being taken to Delhi by hiding under fodder sacks.

Police is questioning truck driver
The price of the banned substance seized is Rs 6.2 crore. Chhattisgarh has a registration number on the truck. Taking action in the case, the truck driver Samu Yadav, a resident of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested. Samu is being questioned, so that information can be collected about his way of working.
However, the accused is not cooperating in the inquiry. The SP said that in the morning he told that he was coming with a consignment from Odisha, but after intensive interrogation, he told the investigators that the banned drug was being brought from Nashik. The accused has been making different statements since last night. So we have formed a special team to interrogate him, because we suspect that this interstate drug smuggling racket includes some powerful people.
