Civil Service Preliminary Examination Refused
Maharashtra Civil Services Gazetted Joint Preliminary Examination 2025, which was previously scheduled on 28 September, will now be held on 9 November 2025. The Commission issued an official notice citing the breakdown of contact in many villages and talukas due to heavy rains and floods. The notice states, “To ensure that no candidate is deprived of appearing in the examination, the government has requested the renovation.

Impact on other exams
The preliminary examination of Maharashtra Group-B (non-gazetted) service, 2025, which was to be held on 9 November, is now postponed. The new date commission will release later. Apart from this, the recruitment examination of technical and non-technical posts in government medical and dental colleges and hospitals will also be delayed.

Examination was to be held on 25 and 26 September
An official statement issued by the Commission said, “The examinations have been postponed due to extremely heavy rains in many parts of Maharashtra including Solapur district. The revised programs will be announced soon.
