Mumbai Indians also defeated Delhi Capitals in the final of the first season.
Mumbai Indians have won the Women’s Premier League (WPL) title for the second time in 3 years. The team defeated Delhi Capitals by 8 runs in the final on Saturday. Delhi was a runner-up for the third time. At the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai scored 149 runs losing 7 wickets. Delhi’s team could only score 141 runs.
Captain Harmanpreet Kaur from Mumbai imposed a fifty on an important occasion. He also held an important partnership of 89 runs with Natli Sear Brant. Sear Brant took 3 wickets in bowling and made his team a comeback.
