A woman passenger from Mumbai has accused her of misbehaving with her in Indigo flight. Riya Chatterjee, co-founder of Sefgold (Jitle Gold Platform), wrote on the social media platform LinkedIn that she went to the toilet during the flight, during which the co-pilot opened the toilet gate and started looking at them.
Riya wrote that she was very scared of the incident and felt herself unsafe and humiliated. He says that the woman crew took the matter lightly and described it as only inconvenience. Riya said,
The crew tried to convince that the co-pilot might have seen nothing. Later I was told that he should meet the Captain and First Officer in the cockpit, which further increased his problems.
At the same time, IndiGo issued a statement in the case saying- We apologize for this incident. This was an unknown mistake from one of our crew. All crew have been counseling and training is being strengthened so that it does not happen in future.
Passenger said- co-pilot opened the door forcefully
Riya wrote- I had locked the door and heard the sound of knocking after sitting, which I replied. After a while, it was knocked again, this time I responded more loudly. But before I spoke, the door was forcibly opened and a male crew member was watching me in a condition when I was in a very unsafe situation. He just called “Oh” and closed the door.
Riya said- the company offered vouchers in return
Riya wrote that after returning home, she mails Indigo management and CEO, but the company offered some vouchers only with forgiveness and fare return. The passenger alleges that IndiGo did not take the incident seriously and it was just like completing the formalities.
According to Riya, this post is not for IndiGo, but to warn women and families that IndiGo’s flight cannot be caused by a safe company, it can be safe from the passenger’s own caution.
