The body of an employee missing from the Merchant Navy ship is found in the Arabian Sea. He suddenly went missing from the ship on Monday night. On Thursday, Mumbai Police gave information about this. Police said that the concerned officials had lodged a complaint with the police station regarding this matter.
The Mumbai Police official said that the body of 23 -year -old merchant Navy employee was found in the Arabian Sea. On Thursday, the police officer told PTI that the deceased employee has been identified as Sunil Pachar, a resident of Rajasthan. Sunil was working as a temporary employee on the Merchant Navy ship since November last year.
The police officer further told that on Monday night Sunil fell asleep on the deck of his ship and after that he could not be detected. After this, he was searched on the ship but nothing was found. Then his colleagues lodged a complaint at Yellow Gate Police Station in Mumbai.
According to the police, on Wednesday, some local people saw a corpse floating in the sea in the Sasoon Dock area and informed the police about this. After getting the information, the police team reached the spot and recovered the corpse in the afternoon. The deceased was identified as Sunil Pachar.
According to primary information, the person has died due to drowning in water, but after the post -mortem report, the exact cause of death will be clear. The police officer said that the corpse has been sent to St. George Hospital for further investigation.
Police said that in this regard, the Colaba police in South Mumbai have registered a accident report (ADR) and further investigation is going on.
