The police officer said that comedian Kunal Kamra was invited to Khar police station in connection with his controversial remarks at Habitat Center in Mumbai, but he did not appear. The police had earlier sent two summons to Kamra after registering an FIR on 24 March on the basis of the complaint of Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel.

There are 3 different cases recorded in Mumbai

According to Mumbai Police, three separate cases have been registered against Kamra at Khar police station. One complaint has been lodged by the Mayor of Jalgaon city, while the other two cases have been filed by a hotelier and a businessman in Nashik.

In fact, in an episode released on 23 March, Kunal Kamra used a parody version of a song from the 1997 film Dil To Pagal Hai, in which deputy CM Eknath Shinde was targeted.
