Muslim Clerics Maulana Sajid Rashidi Angry on Up Meat Shops Ban on Kanwar Yatra Route Cites Constitution | Muslim religious leaders furious at the meat shop during the Kavad Yatra, said

The issue of ‘Meat Shop’ has been rapidly heated before the Kavad Yatra starting in the month of Sawan. Maulana Sajid Rashidi claimed that governments in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi have ordered that meat shops will be closed during the Kavad Yatra. Sajid Rashidi said that these governments have a Tughlaqi decree, we openly oppose it.

Maulana Sajid Rashidi said in a statement, ‘Kandar Yatra is starting. This is the faith of Hindus, maintain your faith. But where is this in the Constitution that you object to other religion, bother them? This is being done illegally. No meat shop will open during the Kavad Yatra, it is not written in the Constitution either.

Give 5 thousand rupees to shopkeepers every day

Sajid Rashidi appealed to the state governments and said, ‘The government does not belong to a community, but of all communities. If you have to close the meat shop, then there is a simple suggestion that you should give five thousand rupees every day to all those shopkeepers. This will keep their shop closed, but their livelihood will also continue.

Rashidi said, ‘Give orders just to close shops, this is not right. The Constitution does not say that you work for one religion and leave the other religion to die hungry.

Crores of people will have trouble

Similarly, Maulana Kausar Hayat Khan, the national vice president of the Indian Union Muslim League, has raised questions on the Kavad Yatra. He said, ‘On the one hand, your order is that even a person cannot offer Namaz in a public place, while on the other hand you are closing public places for the journey of Kavad, which is causing problems to crores of people. You are running a unilateral government.

On the issue of ‘Meat Shop’, Maulana Kausar Hayat Khan said, ‘You should do your religious events in a better way, but one -sided work against Muslims is not good.’ He raised questions as to why liquor shops have not been closed during the Kavad Yatra. Kausar Hayat Khan said, ‘People participating in the Kandar Yatra eat more meat than us, it is ridiculous. Are you now asking Muslims to tell the names of their shops, just because action should be taken against them?
