Bandipur Tiger Reserve 20 Monkeys Death: In a shocking incident, the bodies of 20 monkeys were found in a bag on the Kandegla-Codesoogoge Road in the buffer zone of Bandipur Tiger Reserve near Gundalupat in Mysore district. The incident has come to light after the death of 5 tigers recently in MM Hills area of ​​Chamarajanagar district, causing resentment among wildlife workers and local people.

According to the forest department, at 6:30 in the morning, passers -by saw the bag on the road and immediately informed the officials. A team led by the Assistant Forest Conservator of Gundalupate Division reached the spot with search dogs and veterinary workers.

Sensation caused by the bodies of 20 monkeys
Preliminary investigation by the forest department and veterinary personnel revealed that the monkeys were killed elsewhere. His bodies were thrown into the gundalupat to avoid identity. 2 Monkeys were found alive, who were sent to the veterinary hospital of Gundalupate for treatment.

Police are investigating CCTV to catch the accused
Senior officials, including the Project Director of Bandipur Tiger Reserve visited the spot. Post mortem orders have been ordered to confirm the investigation and poisoning of the cause of death. CCTV footage of the roads is being investigated to identify the vehicle that brought the monkeys, although no clue has been found so far.

Local people said that there was no complaint about the terror of monkeys in the area, due to which there is a possibility and depth that animals have been killed and thrown here. The police has registered a case in this regard and a special team has been formed to identify and arrest the accused.
