In an encounter with security personnel on Monday in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, a notorious female Naxalite of Rs 45 lakh has been killed. The police of his two states were searching. A reward of 25 lakh rupees was declared in Chhattisgarh and 20 lakh rupees in Telangana.
Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rai said that an encounter took place in the forest on the border of Dantewada and Bijapur districts in Bastar area at around nine in the morning, when the District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawans went out on an anti -Naxal operation. Based on the presence of the Naxalites, a campaign was carried out in the wild hills of Nelaloda, Ikeli and Belanar villages on the border of Geedam (Dantewada) and Bhairamgarh (Bijapur). There was a two -hour firing here.
After this, the police found the body of Gumdiveli Renuka. He is also known as Bhanu, Chaite, Saraswati and Damayanti. She was a resident of Kadawandi village in Warangal, Telangana. An INSAS rifle, explosives, laptops and Maoist literature have been recovered from the encounter site. Bastar Range Inspector General of Police Sundararaj P told that Renuka Dandakaranya was a member of the Special Zonal Committee, which is a strong organization of Maoists.
IG said that Gumdiveli Renuka was in charge of the press team of the Central Regional Bureau (CRB) of the restricted movement. He said, “Law graduate Renuka joined the banned organization in the year 1996. In 2003, she was promoted to the divisional committee member rank. She worked with Maoists like special zonal committee member Krishna Anna, Central Committee member Dula Dada. ‘
Along with this, she was very close to SZC member Ramannke. After the death of Ramanna in 2020 due to Kovid-19, he was promoted as an SZC member and was made the press team in-charge in the CRB. His brother GV Prasad alias Gudsa Usendi, who was an SZC member, surrendered in Telangana in 2014. Renuka was married to the Central Committee member Shankamuri Apparao alias Ravi in ​​the year 2005. He was killed in an encounter in Andhra Pradesh in 2010. So far this year, 135 Naxalites have been killed in different encounters in the state. Of these, 119 were killed in Bastar division of seven districts including Dantewada and Bijapur.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the government has resolved to abolish Naxalism before 31 March 2026. On Saturday, security forces killed 18 Naxalites, including 11 women in the dual encounters in Sukma and Bijapur districts of Bastar region. Earlier this month, security forces killed 30 Naxalites in two encounters in Bijapur and Kanker districts of Bastar.
