In Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, Naxalites have killed a 30 -year -old man on suspicion of being a police informer. A police officer said on Wednesday that on Tuesday night, a group of unidentified Naxalites kidnapped Harama Imla in Kakadi village under Arnpur police station area from his house. After this, the Naxalites took him to the forest, where he was killed.
According to preliminary investigation, the Naxalites accused the Harama Imla of being the police informer, then strangled him to death. After this, he threw his body near the village and went away. On receiving information about the incident on Wednesday morning, a police team reached the village. The body of Imla was captured and sent for postmortem. Security forces started a search operation in the area.
A day earlier in a village in Bijapur, Naxalites killed 2 people on suspicion of being police informer. The incident took place on Monday night in Bugdicheru village of Tarram police station area. Unknown Naxalites entered the village and pulled Karam Raju (32) and Madavi Munna (27) out of their homes. After this, he strangled him with sharp weapons. He died on the spot.
The villagers informed the police about this incident. A team of police reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem. The police found a paper issued by the Maoists’ Jaggunda Area Committee at the scene, in which both the dead were accused of working as police informers. Among the dead, Raju was an active Naxalite, who later surrendered.
Police investigation revealed that Naxalites had attacked Munna earlier by accusing him of working as a police informer. Munna’s elder brother was murdered by Naxalites in Potali village of neighboring Dantewada district a few years ago. The Maoists have suffered heavy losses in the anti -Naxal operations conducted by security forces during the last few years.
Earlier on January 26, Naxalites killed a 41 -year -old man in Bhairamgarh area of ​​Bijapur by accusing him of being informer. On January 16, a 48 -year -old man was killed by Naxalites in Miratur area of ​​Bijapur. According to the police, 68 civilians have been killed in the incidents of Naxalite violence last year in Bastar region with seven districts including Bijapur.
