Now a big decision has been taken for the students studying in India. NCERT will now give equal status to class 10 and 12 certificates issued from different school boards. This means that these certificates will be valid for admission and government jobs in higher education institutions. Earlier this responsibility was with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), but now it will be done through NCERT’s National Assessment Center.
Rules will apply to all boards
The government said that this new system will be applicable to all central, state and recognized private school boards. The purpose of this is that the certificates of all school boards in India get equal status, so that students can easily adjust the board while changing. Under NCERT, this process will be acadeily strong and high standards. This means that now it will be easy and transparent to apply for inter-board migration and college/government job.
