MPs of Bihar’s National Democratic Alliance (NDA) met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday to thank them for the announcement of the development schemes of Bihar in the Union Budget.
What has Bihar got in the budget?
According to the report of the news agency, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made several important announcements for Bihar in her budget speech. These include the National Institute of Food Technology, Establishment of Entrepreneurship and Management, Greenfield Airport Facility, Patna Airport capacity expansion and development of a brownfield airport in Bihta.
In addition, the Finance Minister had also announced the establishment of the Makhana Board, financial assistance for the West Kosi Canal Project and to increase the capacity of IIT-Patna.
After the meeting, Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan said that he thanked the Prime Minister, because the budget includes many schemes to fulfill the aspirations of Bihar and the people here.
Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that Prime Minister Modi has always been emphasizing the need for the development of the eastern region of India, because it will give impetus to the overall progress of the country. In this sequence, Bihar has got the benefit of many important schemes in the budget.
Jeetan Ram Manjhi did not appear
Similarly, Union Minister Nityanand Rai said that Prime Minister Modi always gives priority to the development of Bihar and the announcements made in the budget are another important step in this direction. About 30 NDA MPs who met the Prime Minister included Lalan Singh and Sanjay Jha of JDU, as well as LJP (Ram Vilas) MPs. However, we (Secular) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi did not attend this meeting.
