The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan has been declared his candidate for the Vice Presidential election. Radhakrishnan will file his nomination on August 20 at 11 am, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be his proponent. This information was given by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju. The election for the post of Vice President will be held in Parliament House on 9 September and the results will be declared by night by night.
CP Radhakrishnan’s nomination will include PM Modi as well as the Chief Minister of NDA-ruled states and Deputy Chief Minister, Union Ministers and about 160 MPs of alliance, including 20 proponents and 20 supporters. Rijiju said that at the meeting of the NDA Parliamentary Party held in Parliament House on Tuesday, PM Modi introduced Radhakrishnan to the alliance MPs and unanimously appealed for their support.

Radhakrishnan’s political journey
Born in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, 68 -year -old CP Radhakrishnan and have been active in politics for more than four decades. He started his political journey with the Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1974 and was also associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He was elected Lok Sabha MP from Coimbatore in 1998 and 1999. Apart from this, he has been the President of Tamil Nadu BJP, Governor of Jharkhand and Telangana, and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.
B. Sudarshan opposition candidates
Here, India Block, former Supreme Court Judge B.K. Sudarshan Reddy has been made his candidate. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge tomorrow B. Sudarshan Reddy will meet MPs of parties involved in India block. He will file his nomination on August 21 as the opposition candidate for the post of Vice President. He is considered one of the most prestigious and progressive jurists in India.

B. Sudarshan Reddy was born on 8 July 1946 in a farming family in Akula Malaram village in Ranga Reddy district of Andhra Pradesh. He educated in Hyderabad and earned a law degree from Osmania University in 1971. In the same year, he was registered as a lawyer in the Andhra Pradesh Bar Council. He was appointed Additional Judge in the Andhra Pradesh High Court on 2 May 1993, and became a permanent judge on 2 May 1995. On 5 December 2005, he became the Chief Justice of the Guwahati High Court and appointed a judge of the Supreme Court on 12 January 2007. B. Sudarshan Reddy retired from the Supreme Court on 8 July 2011.
