India’s star Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra will lead the Indian contingent in the Diamond League played in Doha today. Apart from Neeraj, three other Indian athletes will also participate in this competition. This is the largest number of participants participating in a Dimmond League competition from India. Indian athletes will be in action from 10 pm.
Here in 2022, winning the title and second place in 2024 (88.36 meters), Neeraj Men will participate in the Jewelin throw event with Kishore Jena. Jena also participated in this competition in 2024 and finished ninth with a throw of 76.31 meters.
Neeraj Chopra finished second in the Diamond League final of 2024. He threw the best throw of 87.86 meters in his third atampt, but remained 0.01 meters away from becoming the champion. Anderson Peters of Grenada secured the first place by throwing the best throw of 87.87 meters in their first atampt.
Indian in Doha Diamond League 2025
- Neeraj Chopra: Double Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra will participate in the Jewelin throw event.
- Kishore Jena: Participating in this competition on the second. The last time was ranked 9th.
- Gulveer Singh: National records have been braked. Will debut in the Diamond League in the men’s 5000 meter race.
- Parul Chaudhary: Women are participating in 3000 meter steeplechase. He is a national record holder in this event.
Peters Anderson, Neeraj’s compete with Julian Weber Neeraj will face two -time world champion and Anderson Peters of Grenada, a two -time world champion and bronze winner of Paris Olympics at the Men’s Jeweln throw event. In addition to Peters, players like defending champions Jacob Wadlech (Czech Republic), Julian Weber (Germany), Max Dahinging (Germany), Julius Yigo (Kenier) and Roderick Jenki Dean (Japan) are included.

What is Diamond League? Dyaming League is a tournament of athletics (track and field), with 16 events of athletics. It is held every year in different cities of the world.
The Diamond League athletics series is held from May to September every year and the season ends with the Diamond League Final. Usually the number of competitions in the Diamond League season is 14, including the final, but sometimes the number changes.
In every event, the top-8 players get points, the first number player gets a point 8 and 8th player. After 13 events, all the players have points count. Players who finish the top-10 positions get a place in the Diamond League finals. In this, the winning player gets the trophy and cash prize of the Diamond League winner.
