India’s star Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has won the first season of NC (Neeraj Chopra) Classic, performing brilliantly. On 5 July (Saturday), Neeraj Chopra won the title by beating the remaining 11 players in the competition held at Kantirava Stadium in Bengaluru. Neeraj’s best throw was in the third attempt, where he achieved a distance of 86.18 meters.

The NC classic tournament has been organized by Neeraj Chopra JSW Sports, Indian Athletics Federation (AFI) and World Athletics. Earlier this tournament was to be held on May 24 in Panchkula (Haryana), but it was decided to move it to Bengaluru. However, after the Tension arising between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack, it could not be organized on 24 May. The NC classic competition has been given the status of category-A by World Athletics. NC Classic will be held every year and in the coming time, other sports besides Javalin will also be added to it.
