In the era of cold war, the US-Europe had only one slogan- one attack on one means all. This time both of them took most of the decisions together. Soviet broke in the nineties. After this, the shared enemy was over. New issues came to America. He looked towards the Middle East, China and Afghanistan. While the focus of Europe was still stuck there. He also had new issues, such as growing crowds of refugees.
Over time, distances in America and Europe increased. The US Super Power has accumulated on its chair, while Europe was getting weaker. Trump started threatening to separate from NATO as soon as he came in his second term. This is a big injury for Europe. At the moment he is scared. Actually, a fight has been going on in Russia and Ukraine for three and a half years. Ukraine supported Europe and US. Now if the US draws its hands, then Ukraine will weaken. This means that Russia can come within Europe via Ukraine. This is the reason that all the countries of the border and far-flung areas are upset that if not today, their number should not come tomorrow.
On the other hand, America’s attitude is completely different. He is slowly moving towards becoming neutral. Recently, there were many occasions when Trump openly praised Putin, or avoided expressing displeasure. The US is holding back from taking a direct front against Russia. At the same time, its big concern has become China, which remains a challenge in many areas. America has to handle its super power position. Now the care of Europe is not its problem.
Europe is stuck there here. The fear of Russia increased from Ukraine War. He feels that if Russia is not stopped yet, tomorrow it will reach the borders of the rest of European countries. This is the reason that even small to big countries of Europe are helping Kiev in their own way. At the same time, Russia is also imposing restrictions.
When both directions change, its effect will be seen on global balance. The biggest thing is that this will weaken the role of many global institutions.
– If China is a big threat to the US or Russia is a big enemy for Europe, then NATO will start to weaken. Its call is being heard from now. There is a tussle over funding.
