The connection of Odisha has also come to the fore in the case of Jyoti caught on charges of spying for Pakistan. The investigation of the matter has now reached Puri with the joint efforts of the Central Intelligence Agency Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Puri Police. Jyoti Malhotra, who was famous for her Vlogs and social media content, is alleged to send sensitive information related to the Indian Army and strategic bases to Pakistan. On the basis of months of monitoring and evidence, he has been arrested along with six other accused. This arrest is indicating the exposure of a cyber-genocide network, in which information is being leaked from within the country using social media and digital influencers.
According to sources, Jyoti Malhotra traveled to Puri in September 2024. During this, he made pictures and videos of the Jagannath temple and the government complexes around it. Security agencies suspect that the information of these places was sent to the operatives present in Pakistan through digital platforms. The investigating agencies also suspect that during this time Jyoti had met Priyanka Senapati or was in touch.
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has started an investigation with the Puri police after Jyoti Malhotra and Puri’s content creator Priyanka Senapati came to the fore. Jyoti visited Puri in September 2024.
During this time, pictures and videos of many special places including Jagannath temple and nearby government establishments were captured. Security agencies suspect that sensitive scenes and data from these places can be sent to foreign operatives. IB officers have questioned Puri Priyanka Senapati of Puri to investigate this connection.

Priyanka Senapati, the YouTuber of Puri, which came under the script of investigation, came live on social media and clarified her position. He said that Jyoti was only a friend of me. I was unaware of any wrongdoing. If it was known that the enemy is spying for the country, then I do not have any contact with him. Priyanka further said that I knew her only through professional content. I am surprised by this news personally. I am ready to give full support in the investigation.
After Jyoti’s arrest and interrogation of Priyanka, intelligence agencies have increased the monitoring of Puri, Bhubaneswar and other tourist places, where foreign nationals or suspicious people roam easily. Especially such content creators are being monitored, who shoot in public places using drones, DSLR and professional cameras.

According to investigative agencies, this case can be part of a large conspiracy, to reach the bottom of which investigation is going on in many places from Odisha to Haryana. If it is proved that any kind of information is reached or shared to Priyanka Senapati, then there may be more arrests in this case.
