The process of renewal of voter list in Bihar has accelerated. On 1 August 2025, on 1 August 2025, a draft voter list of 90,712 polling stations of all 243 assembly constituencies of the state has been published. Also, now all eligible voters will have to hand over their new photo booth level officer (BLO) by 1 September 2025, so that they can be issued a new voter ID card.
In fact, after the calculation phase from 24 June to 25 July, on August 1, all 38 District Election Officers (DEO) have handed over the draft voter list to all political parties. A separate list of voters has also been released, whose names were in the list of June 24 but are missing from the list of August 1.
According to the new list, more than 65 lakh names have been removed from the voter list. The names of 7.24 crore people have been included in this list. Most of the removed people have said goodbye to this world or have shifted to some other place.

1.60 lakh booth level agent in the field
1.60 lakh booth level agents (BLA) nominated by political parties are also participating in this entire process. These agents are monitoring voter list in their areas and also making voters aware.
Where and how to check the name
Every citizen can visit his EPIC number by visiting the website https://voters.eci.gov.in and if there is a mistake, discount or name disturbance in the name, you can register a claim or objection.
Special camp arrangement
Special camps have been set up daily from 10 am to 5 pm in all block cum zone offices and municipal offices of the state. These camps will continue till September 1, in which any citizen can go and complete the process of improving or adding new names.
Campaign for young voters
A special campaign is also being run to add the names of the youth who are completing the age of 18 years between 1 July to 1 October 2025. So far, 3,223 youth have submitted their form and manifesto.
No claim or objection
No claim or objection has been filed by any political party from 3 pm to 3 pm on August 1 to August 2.
