The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet in Chennai court against Tamil Nadu chief Faizul Hussain of terrorist organization Hizb-Ut-Tahrir (HUT). Faizul is accused of provoking the youth towards fundamentalism and conspiring to incite Islamic rule against India.
The NIA has filed a charge sheet against Faizul in Section 34, 120B, 153A and 153B of the IPC as well as a special court in Poonamalli, Chennai under Sections 13 (1) and 18 of UAPA. Faizul is the seventh accused in this case. Faizul was arrested on 8 October 2024. He was the regional head of Hut and was motivating Muslim youth to adopt staunch thinking. Its purpose included the establishment of Islamic Khalifa rule in India.
‘Faizul Modern Essential Education Trust used to hold meetings’
According to the NIA investigation, Faizul used to hold meetings in the name of Modern Essential Education Trust (Meet) at a rented site in Roypetta area of ​​Chennai. Through these meetings, the staunch ideology of Hut was being conveyed to the youth. Faizul used to spread anti -national views using social media, he used to post such content, who used to work to spread hatred in communities and create an atmosphere against India.
‘Conspiracy to separate Kashmir from India’
Investigation has also revealed that he was demanding separation of Kashmir from India and intervention from the Pakistani Army. The NIA has also stated in its investigation that Faizul wanted to remove the Constitution of India and implement the Islamic Constitution written by Sheikh Taki Al-Din Al-Nabhani. The matter was initially with the state police but in July 2024, the NIA took command of it and made many big revelations in the investigation.
