Nia chargesheeted in gurdaspur grenade attack case: The NIA has filed a charge sheet against seven accused in the police station grenade attack case held in Gurdaspur district of Punjab. This attack was carried out by terrorists associated with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) in December 2024.
According to NIA, three accused in this case are still absconding. These include terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Rinda sitting in Pakistan, Harpreet Singh alias Happy Pasia present in America and Shamsher Singh alias Shera alias Honey in Armenia. All three have also been included in the charge sheet.
Happy Pasia is lodged in America’s jail
However, one of these accused Happy Pasia was arrested by FBI some time ago. Happy is accused of joining two terrorist organizations. Apart from this, he was living illegally in America. Pasia is currently in America jail.
Four accused in NIA’s arrest
The four accused have been arrested by the NIA. His names are Kuljeet Singh, Abhijot Singh, Gurjinder Singh and Shubham. All of them are residents of Fort Lal Singh village in Batala, Punjab.
After the attack on the police station, it was taken responsibility through social media
On December 12, 2024, Bangar police station in Ghaniya of Batala was attacked with a grenade. BKI terrorists took responsibility for this attack through social media. The names of Happy Pasia and Gurpreet alias Gopi were revealed behind the attack.
The NIA investigation has revealed that at the behest of Rinda, Happy Pasia sitting in America has recruited Abhijot Singh through Shera present in Armenia. After returning to India, Abhijot took over the work of delivery of weapons and explosives and also added Kuljit Singh and others by forming his gang.
Grenade attack took place at police station on 12 December
On December 9, 2024, Kuljit Singh raised the grenade for the attack and on December 12, the police station was attacked. The NIA took this case on 23 March 2025. The agency is still investigating to eliminate this entire network.
