The BJP, which is behind Nitish Kumar’s JDU in Bihar, has now become ‘big brother’ from ‘Chhoti’. There are a total of 36 ministers in the 243 assembly government, for the first time it is happening that BJP has 21 ministers out of 36. That is, BJP is one and a half times more than JDU.
,
The special thing is that the BJP has made every caste except the Yadavas in the selection of ministers. For the first time, Kurmi caste MLA has also been made a minister from BJP quota. Kurmi is considered the core vote bank of Nitish.
JP Nadda, who reached Patna two days ago, made it clear to the JDU leaders that now the BJP has to focus more on its organization. For several days, the extending of the cabinet was going on, but could not be done due to any reasons.
One reason was also about Nitish Kumar himself not to break the alliance again. When these speculations came to an end, the BJP approved the cabinet expansion.
CM Nitish Kumar held a meeting with top BJP leaders on Tuesday at Bihar Guest House.
There are only 7 months left in Bihar assembly elections. The budget is to come after 4 days. In such a situation, if the government does not expand the cabinet right now, then this work could not be done for the next one month. This was also the main reason for JP Nadda’s recent visit to Bihar.
With this cabinet expansion, it has been decided that even though the CM’s chair is with Nitish Kumar, the strength is in the hands of the BJP, which can benefit the BJP in the assembly elections.
Trying to unite 27 percent backward
Backward population in Bihar is 27 percent. Koi -kurmi also comes in it. By the 2000s, he was Lalu Yadav’s vote bank, but after that he started supporting Nitish Kumar. However, in the last few years, Kurmi remained with Nitish, but Koiri i.e. Kushwaha was seen making distance. RJD’s victory in Kushwaha dominated Aurangabad confirms this.
One of the big reasons for this has been that Kushwaha did not get as much attention in Nitish’s government. So they started shifting to caste instead of the leader. The BJP now wants to unite this vote bank.
JP Nadda met Chief Minister in Patna on Tuesday during a two -day Bihar stay.
According to 27 per cent of the population, 12 ministers of backward can be included in the cabinet, so far there were 4 from JDU and 2 from BJP, now BJP has included three more leaders of this society to 9 ministers. This has been done to prevent RJD’s breach and turn Kushwaha towards BJP.
Extreme backward people also
Bihar has 36 percent population in Bihar. These CM is called Nitish Kumar’s vote bank. However, JDU’s vote percentage is still around 16 percent. This shows that 20 percent of the EBC vote bank is still vacant.
The BJP is trying to pull this vote bank towards it. Two MLAs from the Backward have been made ministers. A total of 7 have become ministers from this society, out of which 5 are from BJP and 2 from JDU.
Senior journalist Manikant Thakur says, ‘Through Nitish Kumar, BJP wants to connect this vote bank with itself.’
Savarna minister doubled by population
In terms of population, the number of upper caste ministers in the Nitish government has increased more than double. Their population is about 15 per cent of the population of Hindu-Muslim upper castes. Accordingly, 5 ministers could be made from the upper caste, but the number of upper caste ministers is 12. It has 8 from BJP’s quota.
There are two big reasons for this. First, the BJP has a core vote bank, which the party wants to maintain. Second, is a vibility factor. Most upper caste leaders are stronger than money power and muscle power. In such a situation, the possibility of winning increases.
Nitish is no longer powerful like before
Manikant Thakur says, ‘Nitish Kumar is no longer strong as before. One of the major reasons for this is their physical weakness. As long as Nitish remained strong, the BJP could never come forward. Because whenever such efforts were made, there was a tough attack from JDU but now the situation has changed.
‘Nitish needs BJP more in existing cinema. If they break the alliance with the BJP, then this time in their party, this time can be broken, because all their ministers now trust Delhi more. At the same time, if Nitish wants to set his son Nishant in politics, then he will have to seek the help of BJP. At the same time, Nitish Kumar’s face is necessary for BJP. BJP has no CM face right now. He wants to spread himself through Nitish Kumar. In such a situation, all work is going on with mutual consent.
