North Korea Launched Hypersonic Missile: North Korea has successfully test-fired a new medium-range ballistic missile equipped with a hypersonic warhead on January 6, 2025. The missile was fired in the north-east direction from the launch site in a suburb of Pyongyang. It flew on the prescribed trajectory and achieved its first altitude of 99.8 kilometers and second altitude of 42.5 kilometers at a speed twelve times the speed of sound. It also landed accurately in the open sea 1,500 kilometers away.
