204 people have been reported to have been killed in the Ahmedabad plane crash. The Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft going to London on Thursday crashed at the time of take off. It had a total of 242 people, including 230 passengers and 12 crew members. According to the information received, Mayday call came before the plane crash, but everything happened so soon that no one had time to do anything. Now the question also arises that Mayday calls during emergency.
Cabin crew responsibility in plane
The cabin crew is usually led by a senior flight attendant or cabin manager, directing other crew members and communicating with cockpit. Cabin crew, also known as flight attendants or air hostesses/hosts, work in the aircraft’s passenger area (cabin). Their responsibility is to ensure the safety and rest of the passengers like-

About cockpit crew
Cockpit crew, also known as flight crew, is the work of flight flying. It mainly consists of Captain (Commander) and Co-Pilot (First Officer). Some long distance flights may also have additional pilots or flight engineers.
Flight captain’s work
The captain is the main pilot of the aircraft and the entire responsibility of the flight is with him. He takes the final decision, such as starting a flight, changing the way, or making emergency landing. The work of reviewing flight plans before flight, weather conditions, technical status of aircraft and checking the cockpit acupments is also of the main pilot. Apart from this, contact with air traffic control (ATC) and takes immediate and safe decision at the time of emergency. In an interview to The Lalantop, Captain Zoya said that the cockpit consists of both people and whatever decisions are taken.

First Officer:
The co-pilot is helpful to the captain and helps them in the operation of the aircraft. He shares the cockpit work with the captain. Ko pilot or first officer monitors the cockpit equipment during flight. He follows the Captain’s instructions and also blows the plane when needed. He helps maintain contact with ATC. Strategy with the captain in an emergency.
Flight engineers (sometimes are)
Some older or large aircraft (eg Boeing 747) have a flight engineer, which monitors the technical system of the plane (eg engine, fuel). This role in modern aircraft is usually played by captain and co-pilot.
Does Mayday call in the plane?
The focus of the pilot during the Emergency is on handling the situation. In such a situation, the co-pilot calls Mayday. However, this decision is made by both. In an interview to The Lalantop, Captain Zoya was asked that who makes the emergency call in the plane i.e. Mayday Call-Pilot or Co-Pilot? He said that there are two people who are sitting in a cockpit or flying deck. This means that whatever happens in the cockpit, both people agree. Mayday whether Captain spoke or co-pilot, it is decided by both.
He told that what happens on the radio at the time of flying speaks Mayday Mayday Mayday three times. He told that Mayday is the most important thing during the Emergency. Its training starts from only when you enter this profession.
