Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the world no longer does not expect from Pakistan to go to him with a bowl of begging. He said that the country should now focus on business, investment and development instead of AID.
Addressing the army personnel in Quetta on 31 May, Sharif said that Pakistan should take steps towards economic self -sufficiency and make full use of the country’s natural resources.
‘I and Munir will no longer bear these burden’
He said, ‘The world expects us to join them through investing in sectors with business, innovation, education, health and profits, not beg. Me and Field Marshal Asim Munir, will not bear this burden anymore. He also said that Pakistan should use their resources better and put them in development.
Shahbaz Sharif took the names of his friends
Sharif also talked about Pakistan’s close friendship with some countries. He described China as ‘the most tried friend of Pakistan’ and called Saudi Arabia a ‘most trusted and reliable companion’. He also took the names of Türkiye, Qatar and UAE.
‘Treaty is not being implemented due to terrorism’
On the other hand, while addressing the full session of the first conference of the United Nations on the glaciers held on Friday in Dusamba, the capital of Tajikistan, Kirtivardhan Singh, Minister of State for Environment, said that Pakistan itself is violating the treaty through terrorism. He said, ‘We are shocked by Pakistan to misuse this platform and try to raise such issues, which do not come under the purview of this platform. We strongly condemn such efforts.
Singh said that it is a firm truth that there have been basic changes in the circumstances since the Sindhu Water Treaty was signed, which requires reconsideration of the conditions of the treaty. These changes include technological progress, increase in population, climate change and continuous border terrorism.
‘Pakistan survives blame on India’
Kirtivardhan Singh said that in the role of this treaty it is clearly mentioned that it was done in a sense of goodwill and friendship, and it is mandatory to implement it honestly. However, the continuous cross -border terrorism from Pakistan intervenes in India’s capacity according to the provisions of this treaty. Pakistan, who is violating this treaty itself, should avoid blaming India for this.
