IndiGo flight 6E 6764 going from Guwahati to Chennai had to be diverted on Thursday when the pilot issued an emergency call on the lack of fuel ‘Fuel Mayday’. According to sources, due to heavy traffic at Chennai Airport, the aircraft could not get permission to land on time. Due to this, the flight made many rounds in the sky of Chennai. Due to which there was a lack of fuel. At the same time, passengers were also riding in the aircraft and it was sent to Bangalore in an emergency. The flight made a safe landing at Kamemegowda International Airport in Bangalore at 8:15 pm.
After this, the passengers were taken off the aircraft, fuel filled and passengers were refracted. After completing all the security procedures, the flight flew again at 10:24 pm and made landing in a normal manner at Chennai Airport. During this, all the information was given to DGCA and other concerned officials.
