Odisha government announced to start morning classes in all school from second april due to increase in state

Heavy heat alert: The outbreak of rising heat is being seen in every state of the country. Due to the scorching heat in Odisha, the state government has announced to start the morning classes in all schools from April 2. Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari said on Wednesday (March 19, 2025) that the examinations in the school will end on 27 March and after that classes will start from April 2.

Suresh Pujari said that during summer, Anganwadi centers will also be operated from seven in the morning to nine in the morning. He said, the temperature has started reaching more than normal in many places across the state.

Instructions received to various departments and district magistrates

Suresh Pujari said, “People of districts like Buddhist, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Bolngir and Sundargarh are facing strong heat, while the coastal region also has humid weather. Keeping in mind the current situation, we have issued instructions to various departments and district magistrates to take advance steps to deal with the scorching heat.

More than 330 people died due to heat in the last 10 years

The priest said, “In the last 10 years, more than 330 people have died due to heat. We have instructed the officials to take steps to curb the deaths due to heat. ”He said that the electricity department has been instructed to avoid power cuts between 11 am to 3 pm and from 9 am to 6 pm. In the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.1 degrees Celsius in the city of Bolangir, located in the western part of the state, which was the hottest place in the state.
