The body was burnt after killing a 60 -year -old rape accused in Gajapati district of Odisha. Police arrested 10 people, including 8 women and two men.
Police recovered the bones and ashes of the deceased from a hill near the forest area, about 2 km from the village. Police said that the women who were caught were all sexually abused.

Then he attacked him with an ax. After the murder, the body was taken to the forest and burnt. Two men also helped women in this incident.
Police said- women never filed a complaint According to the police, the wife of the accused died four years ago. Since then he used to target women. Of the arrested women, at least six reported that they were sexually abused.
SP Jatindra Kumar Panda of Gajapati said, women had never sought help from the police nor lodged any complaint against the deceased.
