An incident of gang rape has come to light in Mayurbhanj, Odisha. On Saturday, a young woman from the remote Bangiriposhi police station area was abducted by six people in an Omni vehicle on the Udala-Balasore state highway. Then gangraped him and escaped by throwing him from the car.
Gang rape was carried out at a deserted place by taking 80 kilometers away
According to the complaint of the victim lodged at Udala police station, two people came to her house in Bangiriposhi by promising to get a job in a company. On this excuse, he convinced him to walk with him in an Omni vehicle. As soon as the vehicle progressed, three more people came with them on the way. After this, the group reached a deserted place on the Udala-Balasore state highway by covering a distance of about 80 kilometers. Where they stopped the vehicle.

The young woman was gang -raped inside the vehicle. When she screamed for help, the criminals pushed her out of the car for fear of being caught. Then Omni escaped sitting in a car. Local residents found the distressed woman and helped her return home, where she heard her painful tragedy to her family.
Police in search of accused
The girl’s family immediately reported the incident at Udala police station. After which the police have registered a case and started investigation for the identity and arrest of six accused.
A senior police officer said, “We have detained two people in this case. The victim’s family has filed a complaint against five people. A case has been registered under the case number 352. Now we are investigating the case so that the remaining three people involved in it can be caught.”
