Olympian Neeraj Chopra, resident of Haryana, has got married. Neeraj shared wedding photos on social media accounts on Sunday night. Now he has gone abroad with his wife for honeymoon. He married tennis player Himani, resident of Ladsauli village of Sonipat.

Neeraj wrote- ‘Started a new chapter of life with my family.’ The family did not inform anyone about the marriage. After Neeraj’s post, relatives and neighbors reached his house in Khandra village in Panipat at night itself and the round of congratulations started.
Neeraj’s wife Himani Mor’s father Chand Ram retired from State Bank of India (SBI) about 2 months ago. Himani’s father has built a sports stadium in the village. He teaches circle kabaddi to the players here.
Neeraj’s uncle Surendra Chopra Dainik Bhaskar Told that the wedding program was organized very secretly. Only the family members of the boy and the girl attended the wedding. Even in the village and relatives, no one knew about the marriage. This marriage took place on 17 January in India.

There was speculation of marriage with Manu Bhakar
After winning the silver medal in the Paris Olympics, there were discussions about Neeraj’s marriage with Olympian shooter Manu Bhakar, but the family members had denied this. Then Manu Bhakar’s mother Sumedha had said that she (Manu) is still very young. Haven’t thought about it yet. Whatever God wishes will happen in the future.

Resident of Panipat, people used to tease him by calling him fat
Neeraj was born on 24 December 1997 in Khandra village. He graduated from Dayanand Anglo Vedic College, Chandigarh. Neeraj was very fat in his childhood and he was also teased for this. After this, father Satish Chopra started sending Neeraj to the gym.
Neeraj’s talent was first recognized by the famous javelin thrower Jaiveer Chaudhary and he became Neeraj’s first coach. After that Neeraj took training at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Panchkula. There he achieved a throw range of 55 meters.
In the year 2012, Neeraj went to participate in the Junior Championship held in Lucknow and made a record there by throwing the javelin 68.40 meters. After that Neeraj did not look back. After Neeraj’s performance in the South Asian Games, the Indian Army offered him the post of Junior Commissioned Officer in Rajputana Rifles. After this he was given the post of Naib Subedar. In the year 2016, Neeraj Chopra was formally inducted into the Army as a JCO and given leave for training.
