The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested a resident of West Bengal for threatening gangster Rohit Godara and Goldie Brar for threatening comedian Kapil Sharma and demanding Rs 1 crore. The police gave this information on Saturday (September 27, 2025).
Police said Dilip Chaudhary allegedly called Sharma’s personal assistant on 22 and 23 September and claimed that he had connections with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and gangster like Godara and Brar. A police officer said that he also sent threatened video messages to Sharma’s assistant.
Police arrested accused from West Bengal
A team of Mumbai Crime Branch discovered Chaudhary’s hideout and arrested him on Friday (September 26, 2025) and went to West Bengal. The official said that Chaudhary was produced in a court, from where he was sent to police custody till 30 September.
When artist Kapil Sharma received threatened messages, he informed the police about it. The Mumbai Crime Branch caught the accused and brought him to Mumbai. Now the police is investigating whether the accused has a direct relationship with the gangster or just tried this paternal to make money from his actor.
Kapil Sharma attacked Caps Cafe in Canada
Let us know that earlier, the incident of firing for the second time on the Caps Cafe in Canada, Sharma had created a sensation. The responsibility of this firing on August 7 has been taken by Goldie Dhillon and Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
According to a post viral on social media, Kapil Sharma was earlier called, but he did not pay attention. After this, the cafe was attacked and warned that if still not considered then the next action will be in Mumbai. This threat had increased the concern of the security agencies.
