A cyber fraud gang has been exposed in the national capital Delhi, who was cheating in the name of getting jobs from unemployed youth by becoming a fake placement agency. The cyber cell of Delhi Police has arrested one of the accused in the case. The search for other colleagues including his wife is going on. The accused was doing similar fraud for the last several years. He has lost dozens of youth so far.

The matter came to the notice when a 19 -year -old youth lodged a complaint with a cyber cell. He told that he had shown an advertisement of a job application ‘Job Hai’ on social media. By downloading it, he applied for a cashier job. He received a call from an HR named Kamal. He described himself as a representative of the company and called him for an interview in the office in Nirman Vihar.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam said that the accused lured the young man to get a job in a grocery delivery company. For this, first money was sought from him in the name of registration fee, document verification, compromise fee, TDS, and processing fees. Between 27 May to 6 June 2025, the youth transferred more than 9000 on the QR code sent by the accused.

After this, money was asked again from the victim youth. When he refused to give further money, he was blocked. After this, he realized that he was a victim of cheating. He immediately complained to the cyber cell. Police investigation revealed that Kamal’s real name is Rahul (30). He was running a fake recruitment agency called Treasure Find Solution in Nirman Vihar.

This office was rented without any valid document. Police said that Rahul was doing this work with his wife Seema. During the police raids, Rahul was arrested in the raid held in Noida and Bahadurgarh, while his wife is absconding. Rahul confessed in the police interrogation that he and his wife were running such fake job racket since 2011.

Both were cheating unemployed youth through different names and fake companies. The police have recovered bio -data of hundreds of youth, Aadhaar card copies, fake appointment letters and official stamps of fake agency from the mobile of the accused. The office with which Rahul had cheated, was vacated a few days ago. In the investigation of mobile, the matter of transferring money to many bank accounts has been revealed.

It was being operated by accused named Shivam and Abhishek Tiwari. The police is now searching for both of them. Police investigation has also revealed that the app that the accused was using was completely fake. This application was neither registered with any company, nor was it connected to any legitimate portal. The accused used to attract the youth in their trap by putting advertisements on social media.

The police have registered a case against the accused under the Code of India and IT Act. Police believe that the scope of this racket can be quite large, so a detailed investigation is being done. The police have appealed to the people that it is very important to verify any information related to the jobs available through social media and unknown apps. Always be careful in such a situation.
