Operation Midnight Hammer – How did America make Iran a lot? Story of 125 Fighter Jet, B2 Bomber and 11 thousand km away Operation Midnight Hammer – US Fools Iran with Operation Midnight Hammer 125 Jets, B2 Bomber Strike from 11000 KM AWAY

On the morning of 22 June 2025, the world heard of a historic military operation, named Operation Midnight Hammer. In this operation, the US made accurate attacks on Iran’s three nuclear bases, Fordo, Natanj and Isfahan. The mission consisted of over 125 aircraft, 7 B-2 stealth bombers and more than 30 tomahoc missiles.

The US dodged Iran’s defense systems using a clever strategy and dicky, so that Iran could not take any retaliation. The full story of this operation, understand about the weapons, missiles and aircraft included in it.

Operation Midnight Hammer: Mission starts

Operation Midnight Hammer aims to destroy Iran’s nuclear weapon program. This was a threat to Israel and America. The mission began on the night of 21 June 2025. It was carried out by the US Air Force and the Navy together.

Operation midnight hammer

The mission was planned months ago, but it was kept secret. Only a few selected people, such as President Donald Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chief Staff Chairman General Dan Kane had complete knowledge of this.

  • Time: The attacks took place between 6:40 pm to 7:05 pm (US time) on 21 June 2025, which was between 2:10 to 2:35 am in Iran.
  • place: Atomic hideouts of Fordo, Natanj and Isfahan.
  • strategy: The US confused Iran using decoy (camouflage) and minimum communication, so that the mission remains completely secret.

How did America dodge?

America used many clever strategies in this operation, which made Iran’s defense systems useless …

Decoy operation: Some B-2 bombers were deliberately sent to the Pacific Ocean, so that Iran feels that the attack will be from another direction. These decoy aircraft were sent to Anderson Air Force Base of Guam, which distracts Iran’s attention. A B-2 aircraft (MyTee 14) had to make an emergency landing in Hawaii.

Minimum communication: B-2 bombers made very little to communicate during an 18-hour flight, so that Iran’s radar and espionage systems could not catch it.

High-speed fighter jets: Fourth and fifth generation fighter jets (eg F-22 raptor and F-35 Lightning II) flew in front of B-2 bombers. Iran’s surface from the surface -to -air missiles (SAM) deactivated. These jets destroyed Iran’s radar system using Harm (high-speed anti-radiation missiles).

Surprising work: Iran’s S-300 Russian air defense system could not see B-2 bombers, as these stealth aircraft could avoid radar. General Dan Kane said that Iran’s fighter jets did not fly. His missile systems did not see us.

Weapons and aircraft: What was used in operation?

In Operation Midnight Hammer, the US used its most advanced technology and weapons. Details of every weapon and aircraft below …

1. B-2 Spirit Style Bomber

Operation midnight hammer

7 b-2 bombers. It is the most advanced stealth aircraft in the world, which can avoid radar. It has been built by Northeop Gumman. Each B-2 can carry two GBU-57 MOP bombs. Its range is 11000 km, due to which it can fly from Missuri to Iran without stopping.

These aircraft took 18 hours of flight from the Whiteman Air Force Base, Missuri, with fuel in the air several times. The Atlantic Ocean, Mediterinian Sea, Israel, Jordan and Iraq reached Iran. These aircraft dropped 14 GBU-57 MOP bombs on Fordo and Natanj.

2. GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP)

14 bombs (12 on Fordo, 2 on Natanj). 13600 kg that makes it America’s largest non-atomic bomb. It can penetrate 18 meter concrete or 61 meter soil, which makes it ideal for deep bunkers such as Fordo.

It was first used in war, which made it historic. In Maxar’s satellite photos, 6 large craters appear on the upper ridge of Fordo, which reflect the power of these bombs.

3. Tomahawk Land Attack Cruise Missile (TLAM)

Operation midnight hammer

More than 30 missiles, which were fired on Isfahan. The USS was fired from Georgia (Ohio-Class Guided missile submarine). 2500 km Speed: 880 km/h (subconic). Warhead: 450 kg explosives. Guidance: Inspector navigation systems with GPS and Terrain Mapping. Rolls: These missiles destroy the surface structures of Isfahan, such as uranium processing buildings.

4. Fourth and fifth generation fighter jets

F-22 raptor, F-35 Lightning II and F-16 Fighting Falcon. Many of the total 125 aircraft included fighter jets, but the exact number was kept secret. These jets flew in front of B-2 bombers and destroyed Iran’s radar and SAM system using Harm missiles.

Operation midnight hammer

He did decoy menuvers and ensured the safety of B-2 from high-speed pre-ampatible firing. F-22 and F-35 are equipped with stealth technology, which enables them to avoid radar.

5. Other aircraft

KC-46 Pegasus and KC-135 Stratotankar: Dozens of tanker aircraft. These aircraft fuel B-2 and fighter jets several times in the air, making 11,000 km of flight possible.

Operation midnight hammer

ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Riconsense) Aircraft: Potential Model: RC-135 Rivet Joint, P-8 Posidon, U-2 Dragon Lady, and MQ-4C Triton. These aircraft monitored Iran’s activities and provided real-time information.

EA-18G Grlor (Potential): These electronic war aircraft could have been used to jam the radar.

6. Total weapons

75 accurate-directed weapons (Prosecons-Guided Munisons), 14 GBU-57 MOP (on Ford and Natanj) and 30+ TomaHock Missiles (on Isfahan). 31-37 other weapons (eg HARM missiles), which fighter jets used to destroy radar and SAM system.

Operation time and phase

Start (June 21, 12 pm, US time): 7 B-2 bombers flew from the Whiteman Air Force Base. Some decoy aircraft went to the Pacific Ocean. The aircraft flew 18 hours of Atlantic, Mediterinian, and Middle East.

5:00 pm (US time): USS Georgia fired 30+ Tomahawk missiles on Isfahan. These missiles arrived after the bombs of B-2, so that the element of surprise remains.

6:40 pm (American time, 2:10 am in Iran): Lead B-2 dropped two GBU-57 MOP bombs on Fordo. The rest of the bombers dropped 14 MOP bombs on Fordo and Natanj. Fighter jets destroyed radar and SAM system with high-speed missiles.

7:05 pm (US time): All attacks were completed. The aircraft went out safely from the Iranian airspace. Tomahock missiles were the last attack on Isfahan.

Why was this operation historical?

Largest B-2 Mission: This was the largest B-2 operation in American history. The second longest B-2 mission after 9/11.

First mop uses: GBU-57 Mop Bomb was first used in war.

Elements of Surprise: Iran’s defense systems completely failed.

Coordination of 125 aircraft: Only America can coordinate so many aircraft in the world on such a large scale.
