Rajnath singh dac meeting 2025: After Operation Sindoor, preparations are underway to make India’s army stronger. The Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) headed by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is going to hold an important meeting this week, in which proposals worth more than Rs 1 lakh crore can be approved.
This council is the top unit of the Ministry of Defense, which takes decisions to buy big weapons and technology for the army. In this meeting, many necessary proposals will be made for Army, Air Force and Navy. There will be special emphasis on the system related to surveillance, air defense and maritime security. Its purpose is to modernize the three armies of the country and strengthen India on the security front.
Many big proposals can be approved this week
According to a TOI report, the Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) is going to approve several major proposals this week to further strengthen India’s defense preparations. These include two important projects which will give new heights to the abilities of the army and the Air Force.
Army will get a fast reaction air defense system
Under this proposal costing around Rs 30,000 crore, the Indian Army will get a Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile System (QRSAM) developed by DRDO. This system is capable of immediately eliminating the aerial threats coming in the 30 km range. This is considered a major step towards strengthening India’s layered air defense i.e. layer by layer.
I-STAR aircraft
The Indian Air Force is going to buy three new I-STAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Targeting and Reconnaissance) aircraft. These aircraft will be taken from international manufacturers, which will later be modified in India with DRDO’s Airborn System Center and private companies. These aircraft will prove to be very effective in giving accurate information in the battlefield, monitoring enemy activities and planning accurate attacks.
The Government of India is now going to take big steps to further strengthen the security of the country. Many important proposals can be approved in the first major defense meeting to be held after Operation Sindoor. This meeting is being led by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
DRDO’s Sea Mines for Navy
The Indian Navy has proposed to include special mine (landmines) to prevent enemy submarines and ships in the sea. These are made by Mine DRDO, who can attack the enemy by staying in the depths of the sea.
Sukhoi fighter jet will be more powerful
84 Sukhoi-30 MKI (SU-30MKI) fighter jets of the Indian Air Force will now be made more powerful. New weapons, radars and electronic systems will be installed in these aircraft, so that the enemy can be further attacked.
Drone without pilot will be deployed in the sea
The Navy is now preparing to bring drones (underwater vehicles) underwater without pilot. These drones will keep an eye on enemy submarines and activities and will help in gathering intelligence.
