After the lives of 26 people in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, India retaliated and started “Operation Sindoor” on the morning of 7 May. Under this, an aerial attack on 9 terrorist bases located in Pakistan and PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir).
The biggest feature of this operation was that the Indian Air Force blocked Pakistan’s China -made air defense system in just 23 minutes and successfully carried out the campaign with accurate target.
Use of suicide drones
The Indian Air Force targeted the leading Pakistani airbase like Noor Khan and Rahim Yar Khan and demolished the enemy radar, missile system and high-value targets by effectively using the “Lietering Municipality”. Lietering monks are weapons systems that revolve in the target area and seek appropriate goals and then attack.

The government said that Operation Sindoor gave concrete evidence to neutralize the advanced techniques of the enemy. It included Chinese-origin PL-15 missiles, Turkish UAV ‘Yiha’ or ‘Yih’, long-range rockets, quadcopters and commercial drones. It is a proof of India’s technical superiority that despite the use of state -of -the -art weapons by Pakistan, India’s indigenous air defense and electronic warfare system deactivated them.
Indigenous technology top
According to the government, all attacks were successfully fulfilled without any Indian damage, which reflects our military strategy, monitoring, and efficiency of arms system. From long range drones to guided monuishan, India set a new example of military self -sufficiency using indigenous techniques.
Since the accurate attacks on terrorists were carried out without crossing the Line of Control or International Border, Pakistan’s retaliation was expected to be from across the border. The Indian Army and the Air Force adopted a unique mixture of counter-UAS (anti-drone), electronic war equipment and aerial defense weapons.
Air defense system has become inactive
On the night of 7-8 May, Pakistan tried to target many military bases in the north and western region of India through drones and missiles. In response from Pakistan, drones and missiles attempted attacks on many military bases in India – including places like Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Bhuj, Adampur – but the Indian air defense system and Integrated Counter UAS Gids successfully disabled everyone.

On the morning of 8 May, the Indian armed forces targeted the air defense radar and system in many areas of Pakistan, including an air defense system in Lahore which was completely deactivated.
Multilaili security system
The government said, “The Indian Air Force neutralized Pakistan’s Chinese air defense systems and completed the mission in 23 minutes, which reflects India’s technical superiority.” Various defense layers were constructed from the Indo-Pak international border to the inner areas of the country, including:
1- Counter-unmanded aerial systems (UAS)
2- Weapons running on shoulder (shoulder fireded weapons)
3- Old but effective air defense systems
4- Modern air defense weapon systems
According to the government, on the night of 9-10 May, when the Pakistan Air Force tried to attack the Indian Airfields and Logistics bases, this multi-layered defense system completely thwarted their efforts. These systems have been developed by continuous government investment in the last decade and proved to be ‘Force Multiple’ (forceful) during Operation Sindoor.

Technology
According to the government, these systems also played an important role in keeping India’s citizens and military structures almost completely safe from the enemy’s perfect actions. Under Operation Sindoor, India used the battle-prone air defense systems i.e. both old and new air defense systems of the country, including:
1- Pechora system
2- OSA-C System
3- Llad Gun
Along with this, India performed well of indigenous techniques such as ‘Akash’ missile system. The system was able to successfully penetrate several goals in both group mode and autonomous mode. The sky is a short distance surface -to -air missile system, which protects sensitive areas and points from air strikes. It has the facility of electronic counter-counter Majors (ECCM). The entire weapon system has been configured on the mobile platform.
Indigenous technology milestone
Operation Sindoor was not just strategic success, it was an example of uninterrupted integration of indigenous technology – from drone war to electronic warfare. This proved to be a decisive step towards India’s military self -sufficiency.
