The Indian Army has clarified the situation on Monday on the news of deployment of air defense guns in the Golden Temple. The statement issued by the army said that no air defense gun or any other defense resources have been deployed within Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar (Golden Temple).
What did the army say?
The Indian Army has clarified that air defense gun or any other air defense system was deployed in the Golden Temple Complex. The army said that the media reports that are coming out in this regard are misleading. The army made it clear that no military deployment was done inside Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar and the rumors being spread on this issue should not be taken care of.
Main Granthi also rejected the claim
This clarification came at a time when some media reports claimed that during Indo-Pak tension, the army had deployed air defense guns at the Golden Temple to thwart Pakistan’s drone attacks. Please tell that the chief granthi of Shri Harmandir Sahib has also rejected this claim.
Amritsar was on target of Pakistan
After Operation Sindoor, Pakistan targeted the border areas of India. Pakistani drones were seen hovering from Jammu and Kashmir to Kutch in Gujarat. In order to target common citizens and residential areas, there were also religious places like Golden Temple on target of Pakistan. However, India’s Mustaid Air Defense System thwarted the nefarious plans of the enemy.
On May 9, there was news that at least 15 drones were seen in 5 different areas of Amritsar. According to sources, most of these drones were deactivated. A red alert was issued in Amritsar, blackouts were done in many areas and the movement of citizens was also banned.
