The opposition has intensified the attack on the allegations of vote theft and the press conference of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dnyanesh Kumar on the Voters List Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar. The opposition coalition is now considering impeachment against India Block CEC.
It was churned at a meeting of India block at his house chaired by Kharge on Monday. After the meeting, 8 opposition parties including Congress, TMC, SP, DMK, RJD held a joint press conference. After this, the statement was issued with the signature of 20 parties.
Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi said, CEC is speaking like a BJP spokesperson. TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee said, ‘There are 3 days left in the current session (monsoon session) of Parliament. It is necessary to give notice 14 days in advance to bring impeachment motion. Given the attitude of CEC, we will give notice in the next session (winter session).
CEC had said- Rahul gives affidavits on allegations of vote theft or apologize In fact, the Election Commission held a press conference on August 17, in which CEC Gyanesh Kumar had said- The data shown in the PPT presentation on behalf of Rahul Gandhi is not ours. Pay an affidavit on allegations of vote theft or apologize to the country. If the affidavit is not received in 7 days, the allegations will be considered baseless.
On August 7, Rahul Gandhi accused the Election Commission of vote theft. He had said, ‘Votes are being stolen. We have evidence that the Election Commission is involved in theft. Rahul has also launched a ‘Vote Rights Yatra’ against SIR in Bihar from August 17.
He held a public meeting with RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on the second day of the yatra. During this, Rahul showed a copy of the Constitution to the people and said, ‘This is the Constitution of Mother India. It has 3 thousand years old voice. When these people steal votes, they attack the soul of the Constitution.
