The kind of solidarity and unity that has been seen in Jammu and Kashmir after Pahalgam terror attack (April 22, 2025) has become an example. The way Kashmiri people and leaders have reacted after the attack on tourists have never been seen before. 26 people died in this attack. Local Kashmiris, political parties, and people across the country voiced a voice against terrorism, indicating a significant change in the history of Kashmir. For the first time at Jama Masjid in Srinagar, silence was kept to pay tribute to the dead. The speech given by the Chief Minister of the state Omar Abdullah did not have politics in the assembly, but there was a dedication towards India and Indians. It is obvious that the leader’s speech is for his supporters. The kind of speech that Omar Abdullah gave is the voice of the changing Kashmir people.
1-due to solidarity in Kashmir after the attack
Till now, there has been sympathy for terrorists in Kashmir. Paying, posters were emerging as a poster boy among terrorists like Burhan Wani. After the terrorist attack, the voices of opposition were never coming out of the mouth of the people here. But the kind of opposition that Kashmiris have opposed after Pahalgam attack shows that Kashmir has changed or changing. The brutal attack on perpetrators created deep grief and anger among the Kashmiris. Local Kashmiris not only considered an attack on tourists, but also considered Kashmir’s peace, tourism, and an attack on the economy. Tourism is the backbone of Kashmir’s economy, no Kashmiri wants the old phase to return again. For the first time in the Kashmir Valley, local people demonstrated against terrorism on a large scale. The biggest thing is that in Srinagar and other areas, Kashmiris are Hindustani… Hindustan is ours! Like raising slogans and condemned the terrorists. It may have happened at a very modest level, but this start is auspicious. This is a historical change, because in the first Kashmir, there has been a large extent of silent support or neutrality towards terrorism.
A 20 -year -old local youth, Sayyid Adil Hussain Shah, lost his life in an attempt to save tourists during the attack. His valor exposed the patriotism and humanity of Kashmiris at the national level.
After the attack, Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces raided 15 locations, in which the local people collaborated. This is a change, because earlier locals often lived suspicious of security forces. The NIA team started an investigation in Pahalgam, and local communities helped to inform the terrorists.
2-Pakistan’s crispy condition and plight of PoK also the reason for change in Kashmiris
Pakistan’s condition is not hidden from anyone. Social media and internet have also started to understand the everyday problems of Pakistan as common Kashmiri. Kashmiris also know the condition of PoK. Protests are being held against the Pakistani government every day in PoK. The government collects fiercely from PoK, but Pakistan does not spend even in the name of investment there. Many PoK leaders have aroused a desire to join India. The increasing dominance of India in the world’s live politics is also understanding the Kashmiris. The manner in which development has taken place in Kashmir in the last 10 years is clearly seen. As many tourists have reached Kashmir in the last 3 years, even after independence, they will not have reached Kashmir even in total. This is the reason that the common Kashmiri has also raised slogans against Pakistan.
3-Every party in Kashmir stands in support of every central government’s decision
In an all -party meeting convened in New Delhi after the attack, Congress, PDP, and other parties promised to support every decision of the central government. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, this is not the time of partying, which was a symbol of national unity.
Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti appealed to take precautions, but condemned terrorism and advocated cooperation with local communities.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said- As a host, I was responsible for security. How should I apologize to the family of these people. I have no words.
Omar said- The security of Jammu and Kashmir is not the responsibility of the elected rule of the people, but as the CM and the Tourism Minister, I called them. As a host, it was my responsibility that they could not send them safely.
Omar Abdullah said, the whole country has been in the grip of this attack from north to south and east to west. This was not the first attack. We have seen many attacks. We saw the attacks in the villages of Amarnath Yatra, Doda, saw attacks on the settlements of Kashmiri Pandits, saw attacks on Sikh settlements.
The proposal passing in the assembly said that such terrorist attack is a direct attack on ‘Kashmiriyat’, unity, peace and goodwill of the country. Expressing deep condolences to the victims and their families, the Assembly expressed his resolve to participate in their grief.
4-Owaisi at the forefront of responding to Pakistan
Hyderabad MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has proved himself to be the biggest patriot by continuously attacking Pakistan. Asaduddin Owaisi’s opponents have been accusing him of becoming communal and divisive. Recently, during the debate on the Waqf Amendment Bill, he expressed anger by tearing a copy of the bill in Parliament. After the Pahalgam attack, she has made statements against Pakistan, she can sleep the sleep of many Congress leaders.
Owaisi had made it clear in the first statement that he would not even miss abusing terrorists. He said that these dogs were killing innocent people by asking bastard names. His statement came, Lashkar-e-Taiba is an illegitimate child of Pakistan government, Pakistan has been training terrorists for a long time against India.
Owaisi said that you cannot come to our country and shoot them by asking the religion of tourists. Pakistan should understand which country it is doing such acts against. The annual budget of our Ministry of Defense is more than the entire budget of Pakistan. They are not 30 minutes, 30 years behind India. Pakistan should focus on Balochistan and TTP issues. They cannot even make medicines. Owaisi also targeted Bilawal Bhutto. He said that his mother was killed by domestic terrorists.
