Four people of the same family died tragically while 10 people were injured in a fierce road accident on Sunday morning in Kota, Rajasthan. The accident took place in Borkheda police station area at around 3:30 am on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
According to the news agency report, a family of Karauli district was returning from the engagement ceremony. 14–15 members of the family were traveling from a minibus. On the way, the driver of the bus got a sleepy nap and the minibus hit the truck standing in front.
70 -year -old Geeta Soni, her two sons Anil Soni (48), Brijesh Soni (55), and son -in -law Suresh Soni (45) died in the accident. Geeta Soni and her sons died on the spot, while Suresh Soni died in the hospital.
The other 10 people in Minibus were injured, out of which seven are undergoing treatment in Kota hospital. These include four women. On the information of the accident, the local police reached the spot and got involved in relief, rescue work. The injured were immediately sent to the hospital by ambulance.
Family member Kapil Soni said that he got information about the accident at around 3:45 am, after which he reached the spot and informed the police. He told that the whole family was returning after joining Anil Soni’s son’s engagement.
Borkheda Thanadikari Raghuveer Singh said that post -mortem of bodies has been handed over to the family members. At the same time, after the accident, the minibus driver escaped from the spot. The police have registered a case against him and the investigation is on.
