A horrific road accident occurred on Friday on Dadri bypass in Noida, UP, adjacent to Delhi, in which one youth died on the spot and the other was seriously injured. The deceased has been identified as Pradeep, while the injured youth is named Manoj Kumar. Both were traveling by bike, when a high speed truck coming from behind hit them.
According to the police, the accident happened when the truck was going from NTPC towards Dadri and hit the bike near Dadri bypass. Pradeep died on the spot in the accident, while Manoj was immediately admitted to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
Tension spread in the area as soon as the incident was received. The villagers of the deceased Pradeep got angry and they jammed the body on the road. He has raised slogans against the administration and demanded the arrest of the accused truck driver and compensation to the victim’s family.
The police team, who reached the spot, tried to convince the villagers and assured them of investigation. The SHO of Dadri said that the accused truck has been identified and efforts are being made to catch it. At the same time, the body of the deceased has been sent for postmortem.
