‘PAK Sindhu itself does not defect us for Water Treaty Violation’, Pakistan’s bluntly to Pakistan – India says Pakistan Should not Blame Us for Violating Indus Water Treaty NTC

India has said that Pakistan should stop blaming India for violation of the Indus Water Treaty, as the cross border terrarism from Pakistan’s land is hindering the implementation of this treaty. Addressing the full session of the first United Nations conference on the glaciers held on Friday in Tajikistan’s capital Dusamba, Kirtivardhan Singh said that Pakistan itself is violating the treaty through terrorism.

‘Pakistan is misusing the stage by raising such issues’

He said, ‘We are shocked by Pakistan to misuse this platform and try to raise such issues, which do not come under the purview of this platform. We strongly condemn such efforts. Singh said that it is a firm truth that there have been basic changes in the circumstances since the Sindhu Water Treaty was signed, which requires reconsideration of the conditions of the treaty.

‘Pakistan survives blame on India’

He said that these changes include technological progress, increase in population, climate change and continuous border terrorism. Kirtivardhan Singh said that in the role of this treaty it is clearly mentioned that it was done in a sense of goodwill and friendship, and it is mandatory to implement it honestly.

He said, ‘However, continuous cross -border terrorism from Pakistan intervenes in India’s capacity according to the provisions of this treaty. Pakistan, who is violating the treaty itself, should avoid blaming India for this.

What did Pakistan say?

Earlier in this conference on Friday, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that his country will not allow India to cross the ‘Red Line’ and postpone the treaty and not put the life of crores of people in danger for political gains.

According to Pakistani newspaper Dawn, Sharif said, ‘It is extremely regrettable to postpon the Indus Water Treaty of India unilaterally and illegally. This treaty controls the sharing of the water of the Indus basin.
