Lahore Pakistan’s batting coach Mohammad Yusuf decided to withdraw from the tour of New Zealand a few hours ago on Tuesday but has now changed his mind and decided to travel with the team for white ball matches. Former captain Yusuf was appointed a batting coach for the tour. He informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that he was withdrawing his name from his daughter’s illness.
A PCB official said, “Yusuf informed the board that his daughter’s condition is fine now, so he will be available to go to New Zealand with the team.” Yusuf was appointed a batting coach for the five T20 International and three -ODI tour after Pakistan’s disappointing campaign in the Champions Trophy. The team will leave for New Zealand on Wednesday.
